The report provides a timeline of the 10-year span for the most effective methods of living after the United Kingdom entered World War II, with the second highest number of lives achieved in 2008. In this year's report, we show that there is a correlation between increased use of social media and increased levels of poverty. Since 2002, a total of 7.6 million people have gained access to social media, including over 20 million on social networking websites, as well as over 30 million on mobile devices, social media usage in some countries grew more than 40 percent in that same time period. More recently, the number of people using Twitter declined by 5.7 million people. Of all social media platforms, a whopping 1.9 billion are used by Americans and around 3.2 billion worldwide share it via social media platforms, up 20 percent from 2015 (Table 1). Similarly, the number of persons sharing news through social media platforms increased by 13 percent over 2016 compared to 6.8 percent from 2014.
